ブエルタでは、もう体が疲れ切っていて楽しくなかったので二度とやらない。などと言っていましたが、2021年にはジロ、ツールと出た後に体調がよかったらブエルタも走りたいと言っていました。そのときはさすがにブエルタに出走はしませんでしたが…
