カステリからNBAのレジェンド、レジー・ミラーとのコラボジャージ「Say their names」登場

チームIneosにジャージを供給するCastelliから、なんとあのバスケットボール界のレジェンドの1人、レジー・ミラーとコラボしたジャージが登場した。

ジャージの名前は「Say their names」。次のようなデザイン。

As most of you know, we live in a different world today, and I really feel CHANGE is a coming. Each of us must to do our part, that’s why I’m so excited to announce that Team BOOMBABY and @castellicycling have partnered to create “Say Their Names” custom kit recognizing that ‘Enough is Enough’, ‘We Won’t Be Silent’ and we must commit to the mission that ‘Black Futures Matter’ All proceeds raised from sales will go to @eji_org, a 501 C3 organization committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protect basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society. これは最近世界的に盛り上がりを見せている人種差別に反対するメッセージが込められているジャージである。レジー・ミラー自身も黒人である。ジャージの上には差別の存在を表すようないろいろな言葉がちりばめられている。

カラフルなデザインにせず、あえて白ｘ黒で整えたのも、世界が二分されているとのメッセージが込められているかのように思える。どうだろう。

個人的にこのジャージの良い点は、Castelliのあのサソリマークが白黒になっていて、しかもジャージの中の言葉の海にまぎれて、うまく目立たないようになっていることである。イイネ！

Castelliファンには悪いが、ワシはあのサソリマークが嫌い。目立ちすぎやろ・・・。サソリマークさえなければ普通に好き。

さて、なぜバスケットボール界のスーパースターとCastelliが？と思うかもしれないが、実はレジー・ミラー自身も熱心な自転車乗りである。本人のInstagramにも自転車に乗る画像がたくさん。

This is the look @king_iz gave me when I told her “we are only at mile 75 and we still have 5K of vert climbing left”… Isabel you are an absolute ROCKSTAR and awesome teammate.. That last climb when I was having conversations with the Devil himself, you pulled me back to the light.. Thank you for choosing me for Day 1 to kick your 3 day challenge off, what you’re doing to help the frontline healthcare workers is selfless and unreal.. Now @emmerlin steps in to complete the mission with you on Day 2-3.. You really learn a lot about a person over 100 miles and 8+ hours on the bike, and I know I have one helluva friend!!! The MVP though from yesterday was Mama Bear @lauralaskowski, the pit stops were life saving and on point, thanks baby cakes for always supporting me.. This is just SOME of the things I will be taking in to battle in shadowing @king_iz on Day 1 of her 3 day badass bike ride to help frontline healthcare workers battling COVID-19… These amazing humans are working 12 hour shifts 3 days in a row (if not more), so honored to call Isabel a friend and teammate as she will do this CRAZY 100+ miles and 12,000 feet of vert 3 days in a row.. I get to do Day 1 with her and her quarantine mate @emmerlin taps in to do Day 2-3..
