ロードバイクFactor O2が進化。さらなる軽量化とエアロへ。

ダウンチューブの個性的デザインに定評のあるFactor。以前はワールドツアーチームのAG2Rにバイクを提供していた。そんなFactorの代表的レーシングバイクがO2シリーズ。そのうち、これまでの最新モデルだったVAMではないほうのO2の新モデルが発表された。

この新O2の概要・特徴を以下に簡単に紹介しておく。

新O2のフレームの特徴

使われているカーボンと軽量化

今回のO2には、最新モデルだったVAMの技術が継承されている。

最新版のO2は既存のO2モデルより軽量化されているとアピールされている。既存O2は800gぐらい、そしてO2の軽量化最新モデルのVAMが700g以下なので、その間ぐらい？詳しい数値は公式から発表されていない。

カーボンは東レと日本グラファイトファイバー社の素材を複雑にミックスしたもの。なおVAMには、それら2社に加えてTeXtreme社のカーボンもミックスされている。

リムブレ―キ版もあり。フレームの特徴、スペック、価格など。

スペックは上の画像を参考に。上述のようにちゃんとリムブレーキ仕様も用意されてる。上述のようにカーボンは、わが日本が誇る東レと日本グラファイトファイバー社のものをミックした特別なもの。5年保証となっている。

これまでのO2と同様に、新O2でもダウンチューブとBBはアシンメテトリー（左右非対称）デザインとなっている。

新O2はタイヤクリアランスが広くなっている。30mmタイヤまで使えるようになった。これによりちょっとしたグラベルを走ることも可能か。通勤・通学に使うのもいいかもしれない。なお値段（）

ディスクブレーキのスルーアクスルは前後ともに12mm規格。このスルーアクスルがなかなかイカしてて、空力向上のためにすっきりしたデザインになっている。↓の画像をよく見てほしい。

凹凸がなく、フロントフォークをキレイに一体化している。すばらしい。

価格はフレームセットが2700ドルから（約29万円から）。また完成車仕様では、公式ではShimano UltegraまたはSRAM Forceで組まれたものが用意されている。

日本市場向けの価格は不明。また日本独自仕様としてその他のコンポと組み合わせた完成車が販売されるかもしれない。そこらへんは日本の代理店の情報待ち。
